Mazal Tov, Augusta Morrison!

Augusta Morrison celebrated her Bat Mitzva in the Spring of 2003. Israel is always in Augusta's thoughts because she has an aunt and cousins living in Israel. Her cousin Tomer serves in the Lavi unit, stationed in the Hebron area.

Steeped in his army duty, Tomer could not attend Augusta's Bat Mitzva in America. Augusta use her simcha as an opportunity to do a mitzva in Israel. She raise funds at her celebration to to run a parallel Bat Mitzva party for a group from her cousin's unit.

The party was a double celebration for the Lavi group. A section of the unit had just finished the "maslul," an intensive training period, that runs for several months, and they were given a one-day vacation. eLuna organized a festive lunch for the group on their vacation day. The lunch celebrated the end of the training and Augusta's Bat Mitzva.

The lunch was held at El Gaucho restaurant in Ramat Gan. The restaurant has a separate room for celebrations. There was music, good food and a good time was had by all.
