There's nothing like a a good cup of tea. Everything looks better after a cuppa and everything tastes better with a cuppa.
Nobody knows this like the folks at Halitatea. The word Halita, meaning an infusion of tea leaves, is a perfect name for this specialized tea shop, the first in Jerusalem. Cozy little Halitatea is situated on Hillel Street downtown. At Halitatea you can get a well blended, classic cup of tea along with home baked scones and English style service.

They take their scones seriously at Halitatea. Proprietor Gavriel, is a professionally trained scone baker. There are five varieties of scones, all served with the traditional jam, butter, and cream. Tea leaves are imported from around the world and your cup of tea can be blended from about 40 different types of tea leaves. Many other hot drinks are available as well as light cafe foods - quiches, salads and the like. Since this a vegetarian restaurant Halitatea does not offer fish.
