Hamoshava 54 is a popular Jerusalem meat restaurant. The Hamoshava 54 concept puts the customer in the drivers seat. You build your meal from a list of dishes priced by category. The prices of the dishes range from 10 shekels to 54 shekels for the most expensive item on the menu, hence the name of the restaurant.
Your meal will be a mix-and-match collection of dishes of all types and prices.
The restaurant boasts big portions for small prices. Not all the portions will be equally sized, but ordering several of the menu items will surely satisfy your appetite. The restaurant attracts many young people and the atmosphere is fun and lively.
The restaurant offers a number of cute ideas. The 25 shekel dessert, for example, is served with a hot drink. That is a nice small savings that makes sense. Wine and alcoholic drinks are also reasonably priced. Several wines are available by the glass.
The Hamoshava 54 Menu
The restaurant's signature NIS10 dish is the Potato Balls with a crispy coating served with a tomato salsa and olio sauce.
As you go down the menu (and up in prices) you will find a delightful selection of salads and pastas along with Salmon Seviche (NIS 20), Sirloin Carpaccio, and Pop Corn Chicken (NIS 30). There is also a 54 Club Sandwich with roast beef, grilled chicken breast, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lettuce tomato, and red onions (NIS 40).
The house specialty is the 54 Mix with strips of sirloin, chicken breast, and chicken liver grilled up with onions and served with warm focaccia and green tehina.
In case you are wondering how they do the more expensive cuts of meat for 54 shekels, the answer is that they don't. Every day the restaurant offers higher priced specials that are not on the menu.
