Fantasia is a lovely stylized cafe located in the Pelephone building, Givatayim. It is just a few steps from the Givatayim Theater, and a great location for a bite either before or after a performance. When you are up for a light meal or a glorious dessert, Fantasia Cafe is the spot.
The sweet spot - designed like a turn of the century sweet shop, with period detail like the lighting, the sand glass and the choice of tiles etc. How fun. Prices are very reasonable, and this cafe this is one of the less expensive places to enjoy a dairy dinner
The menu is a variety of salads, sandwiches, and unique favorite dishes. Sit at the bar or at one of its wooden tables, or enjoy your meal al fresco on the sunny patio.

So, whats cooking?
The signature dish at Fantasia Cafe is the Croque Madame consisting of an open-face sandwich with sunny-side-up eggs served with nutty Emmental cheese and smoked salmon. This is served with a fresh salad. The Croque is a favorite breakfast dish,but it is served throughout the day. Fantasia offers many other unique dishes which are not found at Israeli restaurants: such as the Italian style omelet with spinach, tomatoes, peppers and potatoes, served with fresh salad and bread. Both nutritious and delicious with freshly baked bread or frittata.
If its a lunchtime light bite youre after, Fantasia offers a great choice of salads, sandwiches and pizzas.
The latter are expertly made with a thin, crispy dough tasty and unusually light. However, we suggest that you try one of their huge selection of pasta dishes. We recommend the satisfying melanzana with tomato sauce, eggplant and black olives; or a delicately flavoured beetroot gnocchi in an Alfredo sauce made with lots of cheese.

My companion and I stopped in at Fantasia Cafe for a light dinner. We started with the brochette, slices of toast, topped with mozzarella cheese, silan, and crushed nuts. The cheese balanced the sweet flavor of the silan, for a very pleasant flavor. For our mains we enjoyed the signature Croque Madame and one of the big Fantasia salads. The Croque Madame, with its two eggs, may look like a breakfast food, but it is appropriate for any meal. This is a very filling dish that works well with the salad, served alongside.
The recommended salad, my companion's choice, was served in a huge bowl with both vegetables and sliced fruit, topped with shredded tangy Rockford cheese. The portions were so generous that neither of us could finish our dish. That did not stop is from enjoying one of the Fantasia Cafe's amazing desserts. This is a sweet shop, after all, and you'd be sorry to miss one of their fine desserts.

There is a chocolate souffl, a walnut pie, cheese cake but the best is unquestionably the taster for two dessert: chocolate ganache with pralines and hot chocolate sauce on Belgian waffles. Rich and plentiful, we could not finish it between the two of us.
There is also the Tutti Frutti comes with cream, strawberries, vanilla ice cream and marshmallows; theyve got waffles with a gorgeous banana crme brle served with whipped cream, ice cream and pecans, as well as waffles with halvah cream, chocolate chips, ice cream and hot chocolate sauce.
Fantasia offers food prepared with care, served by well trained and friendly staff in a charming environment. Come with a good appetite, and youll leave with a big beam on your face; we promise.
Location: Fantasia Cafe faces Derech Yitzhak Rabin, at the corner of Derech Hashalom. The cafe is in the ground floor of the Pelephone building. Park either in this building or in the Givatayim Theater parking lot, around the corner. Alternatively there is parking in the Phoenix building.
