OConnell is an Irish pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere in the center of town. This pub is both a neighborhood hangout and a place where people from different parts of town congregate for good food, drink, lively atmosphere and good company.
O'Connells is part of the trend of late night kosher pubs. So enjoy, but make
sure to get there early because they do fill up.
O'Connell has both a full meat menu and an extensive drinks menu. OConnell boasts one of the largest selections of beer on tap, of course the Irish staples of Guinness and Kilkenny are prominently featured but so are beers from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Mexico, and the USA. Expect to find Stella Artois, Hogeaarden, Leffe Brown, Kasteel Rouge, Carlsberg, Tuborg, Weihenstephan and 20 types of bottled beers.
The full menu of meat dishes at OConnell includes decidedly refined dishes for a pub. No pretense either, just good food made right. They have fish and chips, and whole array of wraps, and many different hamburger choices. One of the best dishes is a trio of sliders (mini hamburgers) that each come with their own toppings and sauces. There is a spicy burger, an all beef burger and a lamb burger. Their fries are considered by many to be the best in the city.
