Who would expect a kosher restaurant in Kibbutz Kinneret?
We got on to this restaurant thanks to a very enthusiastic eLuna member who chanced upon Ugata and just had to tell someone. And here we are.
Ugata is a kosher coffee shop and bakery. Owner Dudi Barzilay is a skilled baker, and a true cake and bread artist. One look and you will know.
Kibbutz Kinneret is on the western bank of Lake Kinneret just south of Tiberias. There are a number of interesting sites in the area, so you can make a day of it.
The menu offers luscious breakfasts, salads, quiches, a variety of pasta dishes. Some of the specialties are the quiche with cheese and olive, and ravioli with many different fillings like artichoke and eggplant.
and desserts.
The super-stars are the desserts and there are certainly many different kinds of sweets here to taste from. They have apple pie, pecan pie, whole wheat carrot cake, and that is just to start. How about tarts in different flavors or rich semifredo with nougat and white chocolate? Yum.
Try this on your next trip to the kinneret.
Ugata is happy to host parties up to 40 people.
