Chocolat is a European-style chocolaterie and a coffee shop. The cafe is located in Mamilla, Jerusalem's fabulous new commercial center. This charming and unique shop is owner Stefan Ben-Shoshan's brain child. This is a lovely place to enjoy a full start-the-day breakfast or a delicious lunch or dinner. Stop in at Chocolat for a cuppa and something sweet any time of day.
The cafe's classically trained French Pastry chef has introduced many exciting menu items.
Try the American Breakfast with, cappuccino, fresh fruit juice, pancakes with Chantilly cream, chocolate sauce, and sliced fruits. How about a French Breakfast? cappuccino, fresh fruit juice, served with a toasted baguette, butter, marmalade and a French pastry.
The Nordic Salad starts with potatoes, and red onions, add lettuce, mushrooms, and your choice of salmon or herring. They also have house specialties like Russian Blinis served with crme fraiche, smoked salmon and herring. There are pastas, quiches, sandwiches and more.
And then the yummy dessert. There are specialties like the Caribbean Island, which is a tart filled with Caribbean ganache, coconut ice-cream and a thin biscuit. There is also an impressive list of Verrines (small layered cakes).
Whatever you choose will be a great treat.
