Thank you to Rami Simani for inspiring us with his article in, 2006.
The Caesarea port is clean, esthetically pleasing, with a relaxing sea breeze. Even the carefully arranged antiquities exhibit is easthetic and pleasant to visit. The only problem at this beautiful site was that you couldn't find a kosher restaurant, until Aresto.

Aresto is a beautiful, well-designed restaurant with stylish furniture including white sofas and leather armchairs. You can sit on the porch that looks out over the ocean or the porch that looks out on a lawn. It's best to go there at night, when the entire place is awash in romantic lights.

About Aresto menu

Aresto Restaurant presents a delicious dairy menu with fish and specialty dishes. It is worth visiting Areso for the calzone alone. It seems like such a simple thing: an enormous envelope of dough stuffed with high-quality mozzarella and a touch of fresh spinach. Someone or something has done wonders with the dough at Aresto. We discovered this first wiht the Calazone and then we discovered the same thing with the "house pastry" which was served as an appetizer. Once again the aroma was so amazing that it stopped the flow of conversation around the table.

So no matter what you've promised yourself about carbs, you will not be able to resist these foods at Aresto.

After netilat yadayim, you will rush back to the table to rip pieces from the focaccia that comes with mozzarella and fresh garlic. The focaccia can be ordered with a variety of toppings, such as sun dried tomatoes or kashkaval cheese.

One of our favorites on this menu is the beautiful Eggplant Roll filled with cheese. The lasagna is also not to miss. There are all types of pastas, such as as Cheese Ravioli, Gnocci, Fetuccini, Penne, Spaghetti. The menu offers a variety of salads and all of them look very good.

The prices are quite reasonable considering the unique location. Dinner for two without wine comes to around 250 shekels. Fish dinners will bring your bill a bit higher. There is a choice of Denise Fillet, Norwegian Salmon, Tilapia, or be surprised by the Fish of the Day.

Aresto Ravioli

Portions are very generous. Fresh products and sauces prepared on site make the difference. The cheeses come from boutique dairies in the area and are of very high quality, and the jams are a real pleasure, and are served in beautiful dishes. Make sure to order the onion jam.

We stopped before dessert - we were stuffed from all the carbs - so youll have to tell us what dessert was like.

Review from Frommers:
This is the kosher choice in Caesarea, and a very good one it is. There are breakfasts, light meals (like a stylish salad of red tuna and sweet potato in balsamic dressing), focaccia and taboon-oven pizzas; and fish and pasta main courses. You can come just for coffee and dessert. Indoor and outdoor seating have views over the ruins but no direct sea view.

My experience in Aresto was very pleasant. I was there for a small party which was arranged beautifully by the restaurant. The main courses were excellent (we had pastas) while the appetizers were not as good. The setting is beautiful and the service is top-notch. Aresto is a great place for a meal or party in Caesaria.

Nice fish and pasta. Great freshly baked Focaccia. Nice view of the Crusader wall and other ruins. A little pricey, but most things in Caesarea are.
