The New Bleecker Bakery, Raanana

November 2025
Bleecker Bakery restaurant in the Renanim mall is not as you remember it. New manager Zvika has brought new ideas and a new energy to this restaurant. It is time you revisit this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

First you will notice that the restaurant looks better. The furniture has been replaced with more attractive and more comfortable seating. There is now an area inside sectioned off for private parties and new menu items.

The New Menus

Breakfast anyone?
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and the Bleecker Bakery breakfast is so filling it will be your last meal of the day. The breakfast is served all day so you can have a Bleecker breakfast for lunch or dinner. Enjoy your breakfast indoors or under an umbrella on the sunny patio.

New manager Zvika has added a full page of new breakfast choices to the full classic Bleecker breakfast menu. The new "Breakfast Carnival - Around the world" menu offers a full page of themed breakfast meals all under NIS 70.

Enjoy the "American Morning" breakfast of Salmon Benedict. Poached eggs, cream cheese and smoked salmon. "Mexican Morning breakfast of Tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, and a bouquet of vegetables. This is Raanana, so there must be a French breakfast called "Eggs From The Field." This breakfast starts with a buttered croissant - what else - filled with veggies in cream sauce and eggs in hollandaise sauce.

But it was the Georgian Khachapuri breakfast that caught my eye. Out came a full platter with a huge Georgian pastry, a bowl of salad and small bowls of olives, cream cheese and tomato sauce. The pastry is filled with cheese, herbs and a poached egg. That will hold you over for a long while.

If you are a fan of the classic Bleecker Bakery breakfasts, these too are available on the standard Bleecker menu. There are the light "small breakfasts" the popular Italian breakfast with polenta, the vegan Golan breakfast, with a vegetable omelet, herbs and Israeli salad.
Enjoy an an excellent cup of coffee with your breakfast, included in the price.

This would not be an Israeli restaurant without Shakshuka. Bleecker offers the classic Israeli shakshuka, Italian and 3-cheese shakshuka.

New Pasta Menu

When I visit Bleecker Bakery I usually skip the breakfast menu and head straight for the pasta menu. Zvika has added a fine selection of new pasta dishes called "A Little Trip to Italy." If you did not take that long-awaited trip to Italy this summer, just stop by Bleecker Bakery Raanana and choose from this menu.

Try the spaghetti Melanzanne, with eggplant and zucchini cubes mozzarella cheese in a tomato sauce. Or the Spaghetti Olio with Mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and olives in an oil sauce. Pasta Arabica is for the folks who like it spicy. My favorite is the Lasagna with layers of pasta, vegetables and cheese. Folks who like pepper will enjoy the Cacio e Pepe or the classic spaghetti dishes with olive oil or tomato sauce from the classic Bleecker menu

The classic Bleecker Bakery menu also offers excellent main dishes. The salmon fillet, prepared in the tabun oven, is served with cooked vegetables and a side salad, at the bargain price of 104 shekels.

Dessert Anyone?

eLuna knows desserts and this is where Bleecker Bakery shines. If it is cake and coffee that you want, you have come to the right place. There are no less than 8 delicious sounding cakes each with a you-can't-pass-this-up description. There is an art to writing a menu and Bleecker Bakery's got it. Some of the descriptions are so enticing you can practically taste the food before it comes to the table. Lemon Meringue Pie becomes "almond pie crust, lemon curd and meringue." Cookies and Cream Cheesecake is described as "baked cheesecake topped with a vanilla Oreo Chantilly cream." Who could pass that up?

If you have to pass up the dessert you can purchase Bleecker Bakery cakes from the refrigerator compartment behind the register. You are going to have to do battle with your Yetzer Hara to avoid bringing home a sweet souvenir.

Bleecker is a small island of tranquility in the busy Renanim mall. Take a step away from the hubbub of this hoppin' mall and enjoy good food in a quiet space. Bleecker Bakery is the only dairy restaurant in this mall with both indoor and outdoor patio seating and the only full restaurant with a mehadrin hashgacha.

We have stopped at Bleecker Bakery for a snack and a shared order of toasties and shakes. Other times we have had more substantial meals. No judgment here. The service was just as good when our bill was 100 shekels as when it was several times that.

Hosting a Simcha?

Hold your party in a private section inside the restaurant, away from the crowds. This section can accommodate up to 60 guests. The free parking and the easy access makes this a great location for small get-togethers.

Trays and take away

The restaurant will prepare trays of mini-sandwiches and wraps for your get-togethers and events delivered to your location. So, if you are having a get-togehter at home, a kiddush, or such, save some energy and order trays with your favorites from Bleecker. No tray too small.
