Fresh The Market, Kfar Saba
October 2025
Sometimes, the most pleasant dining discoveries happen in the most everyday places - a shopping mall, a familiar parking lot, a spot you have passed a dozen times but never really noticed. That's exactly how we felt about Fresh the Market restaurant, tucked at the entrance of the G City Mall in Kfar Saba. The restaurant has been there for six years - and somehow, we'd managed to miss it entirely.
We were meeting another couple for lunch. Our priorities were convenience and cost. Fresh the Market delivered both - and a pleasant surprise in quality. The restaurant is easy to find, with a huge parking area just steps away, making it a stress-free choice for a pleasant midday meet-up. One point for convenience.
The business lunch, priced just a bit over 100 shekels per person, is one of the best deals in town. It includes a main fish dish, a small salad, and a drink, for a complete, balanced and filling meal with a focus on - as the name of the restaurant says, fresh, healthy ingredients.
The restaurant's menu comes to your table on an electronic tablet, available in Hebrew and English, with a thoughtful addition in the Hebrew version - Birkat Hamazon. Each dish displays a photo, so you know what you will be getting, and a "like" count, that helps you see what dishes are trending. But rather than following the crowd, we decided to go off the beaten path and pick the dishes that intrigued us most.

We began with one shared appetizer for the four of us. We chose the garlic bread topped with Parmesan cheese - a loaf made up of nine puffed rolls, baked to golden brown in the restaurant's tabun oven. The bread was soft and warm inside, crisp on top, and served with a salsa sauce that added a gentle punch. It was perfect for sharing among the four of us, a good start that was tasty but did not overwhelm our appetites.
My companion and I decided to share two main courses: one pasta and one fish dish. The fish platter, which was part of the business lunch, featured two generous fillets served on a bed of mushroom risotto - earthy, creamy, and just rich enough without being heavy. The fish is delivered fresh daily. The accompanying salad was heavy on lettuce but was nicely upgraded by sprigs of endives.

For our second main dish we chose the Posili Parmesan pasta, a comforting, indulgent dish. A generous portion of squiggly pasta coated in a four-cheese sauce of goat cheese, mozzarella, Tom cheese, and parmesan, topped with pistachio nuts for a touch of crunch. Judging from the "likes" this item is one of the less trendy pasta dishes. We found it a pasta lover's dream: rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated, with a portion size that could easily feed two.
We ended our meal with an ice-cream based shake. Not to be missed in a good dairy restaurant.

Fresh the Market occupies a prime location within the G City Mall, with several seating options. There’s indoor seating for those who prefer the mall's hum, a central dining area with a more traditional restaurant feel, and a covered porch lined with large picture windows shaded from the afternoon sun. The porch, lively, bright, and relaxed, is the most popular space, with a casual vibe that makes lingering over lunch entirely natural.
When we arrived around 2 p.m., the place was buzzing - groups of co-workers from nearby offices, mothers lunching with babies, adult daughters catching up with their moms, and couples like us enjoying a leisurely midday escape. Despite the full house, service was smooth and unhurried, and the staff struck just the right balance between friendliness and efficiency.

In short,
Fresh the Market manages to pull off something rare: a restaurant that is both convenient and genuinely good. The atmosphere is lively without being loud, the menu is creative without being pretentious, and the prices feel refreshingly fair for the quality of food you get.
If you're looking for a place that offers a fresh, healthy, and satisfying lunch - or just a comfortable spot to meet friends without the hassle of city parking or inflated prices - Fresh the Market is well worth a visit.
