Paris Bakikar

May 2026
Take two steps from the fountain at Kikar Paris, and you will be in Europe.
Well...not really. But at Paris Bakikar cafe you will feel like you are in Europe.

Paris Bakikar cafe restaurant combines French elegance, specialty pastries, and relaxed European café culture with the ambience of Jerusalem. The café offers a warm, stylish atmosphere where you can enjoy fresh croissants, colorful desserts, delicate cakes, and beautifully presented dairy dishes. There is comfortable indoor seating and charming outdoor seating at the fountain.

Paris Bakikar is a cafe with style. Start with the rich stylized menu, simple and elegant.

The first item on the menu, called "It's So Paris" is a pot of hot chocolate served with butter croissants, stawberries and whipped cream. Ooh La La! Sounds heavenly! All the dishes are served so beautifully and elegantly, this is pure indulgence.

Paris Bakikar opens at 7am but the breakfast menu is served till 4pm. And what breakfast! These breakfast choices are full meals. Come with your BFF for Parisian Breakfast for two which includes 2 eggs of your choice, served with a selection of spreads, smoked salmon, cheeses, butter croissant, breads, fresh salad, butter & jam.

Two of the very French breakfasts are Eggs Benedict and Croque Madame. Eggs Benedict are poached eggs on toasted brioche with hollandaise sauce and chard. I have rarely seen Eggs Benedict on kosher menus, not sure why. The most French dish of all is Croque Madame Brioche with avocado, smoked salmon, tomato, onion, fried egg with hollandaise sauce.

The menu has an intriguing section called "Specials." I was immediately attracted by the Camembert Butter Toast described as Mushroom cream sauce, truffle, parmesan thyme, sea salt. I thought Bread Pudding was a British dish. The French version is made with Vanilla custard sauce, fresh strawberries, Creme patisserie and blueberries. Sounds good to me.

The pastry counters are filled with baked goods and carefully prepared desserts for a distinctly European feel. Stop in for coffee and a pastry, a light breakfast, or a relaxed brunch. Indulgent pastries and desserts are part of the experience. These go well with a delicious cup of coffee, wine, a cocktail or hot chocolate.
