Who are we:

Finally a real American hot dog with all the trimmings, Kosher, in Jerusalem.

Zalman's Street Food Restaurant offers a variety of chef sausages made from 100% quality meat. Hot dogs come in soft melt-in-your-mouth rolls and are served alongside crispy chips - the most delicious chips you've ever eaten! Chips and onlion rings are made separately from the meat so they are parve.

Along with the meat you can fill your plate with high quality salads and homemade sauces. There are about 10 condiments that go in the bun before the meat: mayo with garlic, relish, tomato, sauerkraut, peppers, chimichurri, and others Then 5 or 6 more to go on top: ketchup, mustard, sweet chili

Zalman's has the perfect location on the Ben Yehuda Midrachov at the corner of Lunz St. See parking information below.

Zalman's CHEF Hotdogs

What are people saying:

July 2019
At Zalman’s Chef Hotdogs I finally had a real American hot dog with all the trimmings. Juicy, moist but not greasy, much longer than Israeli hot dogs. They offered about 10 condiments that go in the bun before the meat goes on. Then 5 or 6 more to go on top. I just said give me everything. I imagine that this is what I missed at Nathan’s Famous, which were never kosher. The hot dogs are all beef, delicious and satisfying. Zalman is making a splash all over Jerusalem with his fast food offering.

The sides on offer are fries and onion rings. They are crispy, not greasy, and cooked parve. They are at least as good as the fries and onion rings that are generally fried with the shnitzel.

There are a few alternatives to the hotdog on a roll. They have chicken crunch, hot dogs on a stick, and Israeli style “toasts”, toasted sandwiches with a selection of cold cuts in the roll, based on turkey, chicken or beef, including corned beef. Prices are reasonable, as street food goes, and there are combo deals too.
