The Fruit of the Vine

Vineyard: Barkan
Wine: Pinot Noir 2000
Type: Dry Red

This is a beautiful full-bodied wine. The taste of this Pinot Noir is perfectly balanced, neither too acidic nor to sweet.

Everything about this wine is striking - from its taste to its aroma to its packaging. The wine is poured from a sleek, black, bottle. The label is black with a touch of gold and white. This wine is in a class of its own.

The Pinot Noir is an unusual wine for Israel. This type of grape is usually more suited to the rocky terrain of France than to the landscape of Israel.

This Pinot Noir 2000 is yet another new experiment of Barkan that seems to have worked.

This wine will age very well. Buy it up now. My advice is to enjoy several bottles now, and store the rest until next year when the new crop comes in. Then you can taste and compare.
