The Fruit of the Vine

Vineyard: Bartenura Wine
Wine: Chianti 1998
Type: Dry Red

Bartenura has come out with three wines this year - and the only one worth reviewing is the Chianti. Chianti's are a special type of wine, and to be called chianti, the grapes must be grown only in the region called Chianti and the wine produced and bottled there. As a rule, chiantis go down very smoothly and lightly and then surprise, a kick just as you swallow. That is exactly the taste of this Bartenura Chianti '98 wine. Given its price, this is an excellent wine to have with a simple meal or even to give to friends who enjoy sharing the different tastes and different styles of different wine regions.

A true chianti is identified by the thin pink label that circles the neck of the bottle. This unusual wine from Bartenura, like all Chiantis, is adorned with that label testifying that, even though kosher, this wine is truly what it claims to be.
