The Fruit of the Vine

Vineyard: Gush Etzion
Wine: Merlot, 1995
Type: Dry Red

Like all wines from the Gush Etzion vineyard, this Merlot is produced and bottled by halachically observant vintners.

At first taste it is obvious that this wine is different from other Israeli grown Merlot wines. The wine is made from 100 percent Merlot grapes and has been aged in oak caskets for 24 months - a year longer than your average kosher Merlot.

The extra effort that has been put into this wine pays off. As with all red wines, it is important to allow the wine to breathe before drinking. The longer it breathes, the more interesting the taste of the wine. Allow for at least 1 to 2 hours of breathing time.

The first pleasurable experience of this Merlot is the marvelous aroma you will sense as soon as the bottle is uncorked. The fragrance is accompanied by a wine that is a delight to drink. This Merlot is a true pleasure and will enhance any festive or special meal.
