The Fruit of the Vine

Vineyard: Herzog California
Wine: Late Harvest, Monterey County White Riesling, 2000
Type: Sweet White

Herzog is by far the best kosher vineyard in the world today. Year after year, Herzog provides us with some of the most complex and exciting wines. Unfortunately, very few of these wines arrive in Israel, but with a little pressure we might be able to achieve some change and have more of them imported our way. (Golan Heights Winery is the Herzog importer)

This Late Harvest 2000 is an excellent sweet white wine. Its color is a perfect gold. This White Riesling is perfect either as a starter or end of a good meal as a dessert- type wine. It is filled with flavor and body and worthwhile trying even by those who only enjoy deep reds.

This wine is fun.
